Enjoy Missions Day attire every day of the week November 14th - 18th when you:

Bring in a Turkey Outreach Food Box with the special items requested below OR Bring in a filled Operation Christmas Child shoebox!

Every day that you bring in one of these boxes, you may wear Missions Day attire. You can earn up to five days in a row. Your bag of food/shoebox of toys is your pass. Our goal is that everyone in the entire school participates.

Northwood Academy is partnering with Northwood Church to collect food for Thanksgiving to give to those in need within our community. Please bring the following items to school during the week. These meals will have a turkey added and then be delivered to families in the Low Country.

SHOPPING LIST:
1 can (28 oz.) or 2 regular cans of green beans
1 box stuffing mix
1 can (29 oz.) or 2 regular cans of corn
1 can cranberry sauce
1 jar or can turkey gravy
1 box instant mashed potatoes
1 boxed dessert (i.e. brownies)

Northwood Academy will be participating in Operation Christmas Child, which is a project of Samaritan’s Purse. Along with shoeboxes filled with small gifts, this project also delivers the message of God’s greatest gift, Jesus, to children around the world who are suffering from war, poverty, natural disasters, illness or neglect.

How It’s Done

1. Use the OCC shoebox that we issued or use an empty standard sized shoe box or small plastic container.
2. Decide whether your gift will be for a boy or a girl and the age category: 2-4, 5-9, or 10-14. Identify the category on the top of the box with the label attached.
3. Fill the box with a variety of gifts using the list below.
4. Help cover shipping cost by donating $7 for each shoebox. You can give online and “follow your box” or you can use the envelope included with the flyer. The only way to “follow your box” is to go online with the computer printed label.
5. Place a rubberband around your box and lid.
6. Bring it to school no later than Friday morning, November 18th. This is a great way to share God’s love with the hurting children of this world.
