Northwood Academy has a long tradition of excellence in athletics.  We believe this begins at the elementary level by learning fundamental skills that build year after year.  This early preparation can afford students the opportunity to participate at the highest level of athletic competition in the middle and high school years.  

Most importantly, we know that Godly character is cultivated through the practice of Christ-like virtues. Sacrifice, selflessness, servant leadership, teamwork and perseverance developed through sport can produce true success in life and foster Godly results. Our Lower School athletic program prepares our student-athletes to work hard and value physical activity, discipline and rules while exercising good sportsmanship that allows them to develop the attitude of Christ.  

The Lower School offers NFL flag football, soccer, basketball and cheerleading throughout the course of the school year.
